Bulk import
What this is
Import many short links at once via the API instead of creating them one by one in the app.
Before you start
- You have an API key — see API keys.
- API access is on your plan.
Steps
The Developer API page includes a Quick start with curl examples for your workspace. The general workflow is:
- Create an API key and copy it.
- Submit an import job — POST a JSON payload with destination URLs and optional UTM metadata.
- Poll job status — check until the job status is
completed. - Fetch results — download per-link results including generated short URLs.
Create a single link via API
You can also POST a single destination URL to create one short link without an import job. See the Create a short link example in the quickstart.
What happens next
Imported links appear in your Links list. Failed rows are reported in the job results.
Tips
- Each import job has a maximum size based on your plan.
- Rate limits apply — see your plan's requests-per-second limit.
- You can also import via CSV in the app — see Import and export.
